As well as being on the North West Regional Board of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
He is also one half of electro-pop band Jules Verne Theory who recently supported The Human League. Their new EP is available to download now on iTunes and Amazon.
Best meal (cooked by you or by another):
My wedding meal - a seven-course Italian extravaganza at Al Roccolo Restaurant in Miane, Northern Italy surrounded by family and best friends.
Best outfit or single piece of clothing:
Probably my Paul Smith suit.
Best memory:
The births of my daughters, Eliza and Emily. Other highlights are my wedding in Italy; travelling the world in 1995; studying in Melbourne, Australia, for a couple of years; New Year's Eve on a boat in Sydney Harbour watching the fireworks.
Fond memories too of my dad, who died in 1996, and the time we spent in the Villiers Hotel, Howstrake Hotel and Scott's Bistro.
Best way to spend the day:
A lie-in would be nice but with my two girls that's pretty impossible any day of the week!
Life's pretty hectic Monday-Friday so I guess a good day would be a combination of doing the things I enjoy best. Spending some time with the girls, a yoga session at Karma, drinks and dinner out somewhere with my wife and friends.
I also spend a night or two a week writing and recording electropop music with Arron Clague as Jules Verne Theory. It's nice to do something creative and we're now working on our second EP.
Best advice:
Best advice received: Take every opportunity and offer of assistance you get to achieve your ambition. I was a bit stubborn in my younger life and thought I could do it all on my own.
Best advice I can give: It's probably the stubborn streak in me but when someone tells you that you can't do something - don't give up, work hard to prove them wrong.
Best place in the Isle of Man:
It's hard to pick a single place as we're blessed with stunning, varied scenery and some wonderful towns and villages. However I love heading out with the girls to Peel Beach or Mooragh Park in Ramsey on a sunny day. They love both and if they're happy, I'm happy.
However I also spend a good proportion of my leisure time in the Rovers Return so I guess that's pretty special!
