The Island's fixed and mobile networks are provided by Manx Telecom and Sure, who operate under licences issued by the Isle of Man Communications Commission.
Manx Telecom have recently launced a full 4G service, available to 95% of the Island's population, and was one of the first operators in the world to offer ADSL broadband to their customers. It was also previously the first in Europe to launch its 3G network.
Today the Island benefits from 100% ADSL2+ and 65% VDSL broadband availability.
Connectivity is provided by highly resilient fibre optic cables (owned by the Manx Utilities Authority/ Isle of Man Government), linking to the UK and Northern Ireland.
