Swedish street artists take responsibility for fairy houses

World-renowned street artists Anonymouse MMX have claimed responsibility for a number of fairy houses which have popped up on the Isle of Man.

Measuring around 30cm high the houses have been catching the attention of Manx locals since they appeared in the last few weeks.

Houses for the Little People have been found in four different spots on the Island, including:

Bradda Head, Dhoon Glen and Ballaglass Glen.

Angela Byrne, Head of Visit Isle of Man, said: "The houses that have appeared are absolutely beautiful – everyone is having lots of fun hunting them down, especially the local children.

"When we spotted them on social media the other day we couldn’t quite believe it.

"Now we’re creating a trail map which will be uploaded onto our website so that visitors can find them and enjoy them too."

Anonymouse MMX added: "Although we usually feel more comfortable around mice, when we discovered that the Isle of Man is one of the few places in the world where, if you look in the right places, fairies may still be found, we thought it would be fun to create some houses for their local mini inhabitants."

After four months hard work building them, Anonymouse MMX have left them dotted around the Island for locals, visitors and The Little People to find and enjoy.
