Whistleblowing committee looking for submissions

People with experience of whistleblowing on the Isle of Man are being urged to come forward.

The Select Committee of Tynwald on Whistleblowing wants to hear from anyone who has a view on the effectiveness and efficiency of the process.

Chairman Julie Edge MHK says: "The Committee has been tasked with reviewing the effectiveness of the Government’s whistleblowing policy and to consider this fully we plan to compare and contrast with other public and private sector policies.

"We are not able to become involved in any way with specific cases but we do want to understand how the processes are working for the people involved; those raising issues and those involved with investigations.

"We are also interested in hearing from people who may have considered, but not proceeded with, raising an issue."

Submissions will only be published if express permission is given – submissions should be sent in by June 20th.
