A Manx nursery says it's been forced to take legal action after malicious rumours were spread across the Island.
Gloryland Preschool Nursey has taken to Facebook to issue a public statement saying it wants to 'publicly dismiss' rumours about its nurseries and nursery owners.
In the statement it says the rumours were "created and spread with the intention of damaging our reputation and to try to force our nursery to close".
It reads: "However, the persons at the source of it have not achieved their aim, and as we have now been successful in our legal action, the truth has won through in the end.
"Although the nursery regulator within the Department of Health and Social Care took certain actions against Gloryland on the back of the rumours, the Department has now acknowledged that they acted without legal basis in this regard and have withdrawn each action originally proposed.
"It has been a very difficult few months for Gloryland with various false claims being spread and the regulator placing excessive demands on our nurseries, however we are delighted that our good name has shone through and now we can confidently move forward."
The statement adds Gloryland is thankful to the staff who "stood by us with incredible trust and dedication and worked through difficult circumstances with utmost professionalism".
