SMP Accounting & Tax, which is part of leading independent corporate services provider SMP Partners, is pleased to announce the promotion of Rachael Hooper and the appointment of Neil Cowley.

Rachael, who has been with the firm for more than four years, has been promoted to Senior Manager of SMP Accounting & Tax. She is responsible for international tax advisory services provided to private clients, trusts and companies and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. Rachael qualified with a Big Four accountancy firm in the Isle of Man while working within their Tax Department.

Neil joins SMP Accounting & Tax from the tax department of one of the Big Four accountancy firms of the Island and is more than halfway to becoming a Chartered Accountant. In his new role he will be working with the SMP Accounting & Tax team with tax advisory services for clients in Isle of Man, UK and International markets.

Neil’s particular area of focus will be non-UK resident and UK resident non-domiciled individuals, trusts and companies as well as property taxation.

Rachael has a proven track record with SMP Accounting & Tax and is well-known for her hard work, knowledge and commitment. She’s a real asset to the company, as well as being an important member of the business community.

‘Neil brings a wealth of experience and will soon be a Chartered Accountant which will add to the strength of the offering we provide. I have no doubt that he will fit in well with our taxation team as well as bringing significant benefit to our clients.’
