'What's happened to our bye-laws?'

There is increasing concern at Douglas town hall over the delayed implementation of a raft of upgraded bye-laws.

They were passed by the council in September 2009, but have been held up after the Attorney General's Chambers raised unspecified concerns.

The bye-laws cover three areas, namely general, housing, and recreation and leisure, and the hold-up is down for debate at the monthly meeting of the borough council today (Wednesday).

Council leader David Christian says some progress is being made, but it's not before time:
